Background
Midas was asked to design, supply and install a new sidewall exterior envelope to renovate a dated office block which was being converted into upmarket flats.
The Solution
The challenge was to safely carry out refurbishment work to the sidewalls of the top two floors of a three-story building whilst ground floor shops servicing the local area remain in operation. With safeguarding of the public first priority, Midas installed a fully-sufficient scaffold access with safety and debris netting to ensure a fully operational site which allowed ancillary business to continue to trade at all times.
Midas designed and installed a bespoke timber substructure that allowed for the efficient installation of the new composite panel cladding and uPVC window external envelope.
